Shop Managment Software Reviews |
|
Get ready: It is happening again! About 2 years ago I wrote a simple review of three shop management software packages. A lot has changed with them since that time and I am constantly getting asked about these things so I am in the process of writing an updated review of those packages. It is taking a bit longer this time because I want to drill down deeper into each software package instead of just doing a general overview.
I am also an avid proponent of using shop management software for the screen-printing and embroidery industry. I feel that the single most reason you find pricing anywhere from ridiculously cheap to upper tier is for the plain and simple fact that a lot of those who get into this industry have no clue about how to price jobs. I've seen everything from pricing off the top of ones head to fancy attempts with spreadsheets in an effort to come up with a price for a job. I am a firm believer that good shop management software will enable you to price more constantly and at a level that you will not only make more money but also be competitive enough to get at least 80% of the work you quote. Why at least 80%? I will go into that philosophy later.
At any rate, I ask you to please keep checking back as the reviews start to unfold and please support the Screen Printers Open web site and forum boards by participating in health discussions on topics related to our industry. I built this website, the forum boards and write these reviews for you so please let me and others know that all the hard work is not falling on deaf ears.
Thank You.
